Amaury Nolasco

Amaury Nolasco (born Amaury Nolasco Garrido; December 24, 1970) is a Puerto Rican actor, best known for the role of Fernando Sucre on the television series Prison Break, and for his role in Transformers. Nolasco was born in Puerto Rico. He did not initially intend to be an actor; at the University of Puerto Rico, he studied biology in an effort to become a doctor. After various acting gigs, Nolasco moved to New York City, where he trained at the American British Dramatic Arts School, a program of acting headed by Marjorie Ballentine, where he also studied with classmate and future Prison Break co-star James Hiroyuki Liao. After moving to Los Angeles to pursue his acting career, he worked at the popular club the Conga Room.
